Best Tabletop RPG Gifts for the Holidays: A Gamer's Gift Guide
Share
Buying gifts for tabletop RPG players sounds easy until you're actually doing it. The hobby is enormous, tastes vary wildly, and the person you're buying for probably already owns the obvious stuff. This guide cuts through the noise with picks that work across different types of gamers — from the dice collector to the new parent to the person who's been playing Pathfinder for fifteen years.
For the Gamer Who Has Everything: Novelty Dice
The Rick Rolled 34mm D20 is the gift that lands every time. It's an oversized novelty D20 with the Rick Astley meme built into the design — ridiculous, functional, and guaranteed to get a reaction. At 34mm it's nearly double the size of a standard die, which makes every roll feel like an event.
For the New Parent Gamer: Baby's First Weapon Rattles
If someone in your gaming group just had a baby, Baby's First Weapon Rattles are the perfect gift. Soft, safe, shaped like fantasy weapons. Pair them with Hero Kids — a fantasy RPG for ages 4–10 — as a "for when they're ready" addition.
For the Pathfinder GM: Campaign Supplements
The Gothic Campaign Compendium is 256 pages of horror-themed spells, monsters, magic items, and complete adventures. For GMs running kingdom-building campaigns, Ultimate Rulership is the supplement that makes that system actually sing.
For the Dice Collector: Themed Dice
The Mechanics Dice d6 by BrycesDice replaces standard pips with automotive diagnostic symbols. For the Magic: The Gathering player, the Edge of Eternities Spindown Die is a premium life counter that doubles as a collector's piece.
For the Family Table: Accessible RPGs
Hero Kids for young children and Green Oaks RPG for elderly family members are both thoughtfully designed entry points that actually work for their intended audiences.
