The runecaster is a new class for the fifth edition of the world’s oldest fantasy roleplaying game. No less a user of magic than clerics and warlocks, the runecaster taps into a magic older, and more primal and unpredictable, than spells. Each runecaster learns a selection of runes to augment their own abilities, aid their allies, reveal knowledge and lore, or hinder their foes. Some runecasters focus on using runes to be more effective combatants, while others turn to their runes to become experts at defensive glyphs or masters of manipulating runes themselves.
Part eldritch linguist, part warrior, part wielder of ancient magic that defines reality itself, the runecaster is a flexible, effective new character class that taps into its own unique source of power.
