Ghost in the Graveyard Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

You like to use film soundtracks in your game. But if your players have seen the movie, the music will call to mind scenes from that movie – not the story your game is telling. Don’t take them out of the game! The “Ghost in the Graveyard” soundtrack calls to mind the classic synthesizer-driven horror film scores of the late 1970s and early 80s, without the baggage of film-specific associations.

“Ghost in the Graveyard” is the scariest 1980s horror film never made!

Arlington Station, WI, Spring 1983: A group of teenagers gather at a creepy old church for a party... couples steal away to fool around among the headstones in the nearby graveyard. Soon the graveyard is awash in fresh blood as one by one the nubile young students are picked off by what? A vengeful spirit? A mad, deranged serial murderer? Look, it doesn’t matter. There’s no movie. Just a kickass soundtrack with an awesomely 80s flavor.

The “Ghost in the Graveyard” soundtrack download includes:

  • 9 music tracks
  • Special collector’s set of lobby cards from the nonexistent film (English AND French versions!)

'A delightful conceit... after carefully creating a completely ficticious movie soundtrack so that you can generate the right background and moon for your horror game without distracting players who have seen whatever horror movie whose soundtrack you might otherwise be using... They give you some movie posters and adverts for the ficticious movie that the soundtrack was porportedly written for! Even before I've finished listening to the soundtrack - and I tend to use music as background and inspiration when WRITING rather than playing games - this has spawned a plot. [Looks round for lurking players... nope. All clear] How about starting a horror game, probably set in some small Mid-West town, by the characters going to see a horror movie? This one, of course. You've got some wonderful handouts here after all. And then... things start to happen. Maybe some of the movie characters come to life, start chasing them around the cinema. Or when they emerge after the screening, they find themselves in the film for real instead of in their own hometown. Or it may be a complete red herring, the one normal thing - catching a movie - that happens in an otherwise twisted horror game...' – Megan R., Featured DrivethruRPG reviewer Rating: 5 of 5 Stars!
