Build characters and campaigns across fantasy, historical adventures, modern action, superheroes, science fiction and cartoon worlds with a universal roleplaying system. This revised Fourth Edition rulebook brings the complete contents of Characters and Campaigns together in one full-color hardcover.
Two Core Rulebooks in One Revised Volume
When Fourth Edition arrived in 2004, its core rules were split between two books. Characters combined material from the Third Edition Basic Set and GURPS Compendium I, while Campaigns brought together the remaining Basic Set material and portions of GURPS Compendium II. This combined volume puts those Fourth Edition rules in one place.
The 592-page hardcover features a new cover and a two-column layout. Its text has been lightly edited for internal consistency, errata corrections, sensitivity and updated information. It also includes 25 pages of rules highlights drawn from GURPS books and Pyramid articles published between 2004 and 2025.
This is a revision, not a new edition. It remains fully compatible with Fourth Edition material in print, and the text retains its original numbered pages to preserve existing page references.
