Forager's Guild Guide to Missing Magic

Every "found" magic item should tell a story. It was created by someone, it was made for someone, and it may have been crafted to fulfill a specific purpose. It didn't get into a treasure hoard or into the hands of a monster or villain on its own. It may have been lost in combat. It may have belonged to a hero who fell before fulfilling some great quest. It may have been stolen. It may have people searching for it, for good or ill. A magic item;s story is never complete so long as there's an adventurer to use it.

The Forager's Guild Guild to Missing Magic (previously published as The Tome of Missing Magic) walks the line between inspiration and utility, offering gamemasters ideas for turning the most common magic item into a story hook or worldbuilding tool. At the same time, hundreds of items of all kinds, including potions, scrolls, miscellaneous magic, and artifacts are provided with full statistics and descriptions. These items are inspired by early editions of "the precursor game", restoring a certain flavor withe complying with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game rules. Templates are provided for creating a complete range of armor, shields, and weapons. Four new feats expand potions and wands to utilize higher level spells.

The Forager's Guild Guide to Missing Magic has been expanded and updated from its previously incarnation as The Tome of Missing Magic. This revised edition includes:

  • Hundreds of fully-fleshed out magic items
  • Dozens of templates for creating your own armor and weapons
  • Expanded from 96 to 140 pages
  • Additional content, including new tables and tips for gamemasters
  • Improved PDF bookmarks for easier navigation
  • More artwork throughout the book
