The Swallowing Sand play mat from Mats by Mars drops your armies into an unforgiving expanse of wind-swept dunes and baked earth — the kind of terrain where heat shimmer distorts the horizon and every ridge line could conceal an ambush. Printed on ultra-durable heavy-weight matte banner material with vibrant, scratch-resistant inks, it's built for years of tournament and home play.
The Battlefield
The wet-erase compatible surface lets you mark objectives, draw movement paths, or note terrain effects directly on the mat and wipe clean after the game. Anti-curl construction lays flat the moment you unroll it, and a slight surface texture keeps models exactly where you place them. Available in a wide range of sizes with optional measurement overlays for seamless tournament play.
Compatible Games
Warhammer 40K, Star Wars Legion, Bolt Action, Age of Sigmar, Shatterpoint, and any game where desert terrain sets the scene.
