Djieiens are monstrous spiders with the unthinkable ability to remove their vital organs and hide them in the ground. With their vital organs securely hidden, djieiens are impervious to many forms of damage. However, if the vitals can be found, these creatures can be easily slaughtered.

Ambush Hunters. Djieiens nest in the ground and set traps for their prey. A djieien will dig a burrow, conceal it, and wait motionless under the trapdoor, sensing vibrations in the ground as the prey approaches. If a group is passing by, the djieien will grab the last one in line. It springs out, seizes the prey, bites it, and drags it back into the burrow.
