The 1,000-word supplement introduces jury-rigging an item and improvising an item. Like multi-skill tasks such as identifying a creature or recalling information, the rules support quick fixes to broken or destroyed items and assembling an item from component parts.

Mechanic tricks, magic hacks and a spell complement the new tasks. Examples include rapidly improvising a spell ampoule and shattering a makeshift weapon in an opponent’s body for damage.
